From the ripples you send out in your daily actions and words; those same ripples are going into your very being. The sounds you make both internally and externally are the very essence of your being. We can all talk about being mindful in our words and actions however do we show that same care and compassion to ourselves in our words and actions?
When: September 9-11, 2016
Where: Margaret Austin Center, A Rural Retreat Center in Brenham, TX (just outside of Houston)
What: Women's retreat open to women of all faiths, backgrounds and ages.
Components for the Weekend:
Chakra Singing Bowls - A Sound beginning to our exploration in sounds.
Sounds of the Chakras - An Experience in toning for the health of your being through the chakras.
Healing with Sound - Vocal Toning for Total Health
Bells of Transformation and Healing - A labyrinth guided meditation.
We have a choice of three styles of lodging for the weekend.
Dorm Style - The Fairy House consists of bunk beds in four open rooms on two floors. Everyone will be on the bottom bunk only unless by choice to be on a top bunk. There are two shared bathrooms in this building both being on the ground floor. This is a fairly open space so not an option for light sleepers.
Semi-Private - The Mystic House consists of four private rooms with door accommodating three bunk beds with everyone on the bottom bunk so for the most part three to a room. This house offers two private shared bathrooms down a short hallway. This is a great option for light sleepers and those wishing for a bit more privacy both in rooming and bathroom.
En-Suite - This is normally reserved for retreat leaders and ADA. Limited to three women in single real beds, en-suite full private bath and limited kitchenette. This is a great choice for those who want a bit more privacy, have special food requirements (small refrigerator in room) or need ADA accessibility. There is a motorized chair available for use throughout the property if you are in need, please denote at time of registration.
Nutritious and Delicious Meals and Snacks:
Five meals will be served throughout the weekend with snacks and drinks available throughout the weekend. Meals are served vegetarian with a meat option. If you are in need of gluten free, dairy free, etc. it can be accommodated, just let us know when you register.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
We do ask that women be 18 years or older however exceptions are made for maidens with parent. There are no special options for younger women so they must have a maturity to sit with the women.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
We will have a Facebook group setup where you are welcome to link up to others to carpool however no organized transportation is available by organizers.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
A packing list will be provided closer to retreat.
What is the refund policy?
100% Refund available up to 90 days out from retreat. Within 90 days refunds would only be offered if we are on a waitlist and someone takes your registration spot. We operate on a very tight margin so try to work with everyone however part of that is we plan for certain numbers to attend and those numbers must be met to keep us on budget.
I paid my deposit, now what?
Once you sign up using the Deposit option, please contact tina@PomegranateWomen.org to set up a payment schedule. Full payment must be complete by September 1, 2016.
